Paint Disposal

Latex Paint Recycling & Disposal

Are your old paint cans sitting around in a closet, hoping to be reused someday, only to just sit there and collect dust until you finally decide to do something with it?

Moving in or out and have old paint cans to get rid of? Bring them down to our drop off facility to dispose of your cans properly.

No matter what the reason, liquid latex paint cannot be disposed of in the regular trash, poured down sewer or storm drains, or dumped on the ground.

At HaulEcycle we partner with the proper sources to make sure your paint is recycled and disposed of in a proper manner. Paint is not simply incinerated or trashed, but rather recycled and turned into new paint. Recycling rates are $1.25 per pound and drop off appointments can be scheduled here.

What Types of Paint Can You Take?

The answer isn’t quite that simple as there are thousands of varieties of paints. The most common types of paints we receive are from painting of interior or exterior walls. These are most often water-based paints and can be cleaned up with soap and water. If the instructions say to clean it with mineral spirits or paint thinner then we CANNOT accept it.

Does it matter if it’s gloss, semi-gloss or flat? No, not at all! As long as it’s latex or water-based, we can take it.

If you aren’t sure, bring it to us and we’ll let you know.
